On one hand the book reading link sounds interesting. On the other hand, at the very end, it mentions that one becomes "invested in one's identity as a reader"... is that really a worthwhile identity to have? Does it need mentioning and encouraging?

Eh, I worry more about the people who deliberately classify themselves as "not a reader" and think that somehow makes them more interesting than people who DO read books.

I feel like there was a whole scifi thing in the 1980s that could've been awesome except nobody knew how to do it properly (or the technology wasn't there yet, or maybe they just didn't have a budget) and so instead it came out cheesy and weird. See: Voyage of the Rock Aliens.
